The Devil in the Details

You’ve heard the saying, “better the devil you know, than the devil you don’t”?

The scheme continues:

...the idea you know, than the idea you don’t....the truth you know, than the truth you don’t.

The idea being that you really don't want change at all, just the idea of it where you stay comfortable.

If you can admit that you are a creature of comfort and you really don’t want to change, at least, you can acknowledge it. It doesn’t make you any less guilty. Only knowledgeable of your guilt.

God sent His Son for the remedy for this very thing. In the meantime,

God commands change. He is the only One that doesn’t need change. Because He’s  perfect. When we come into perfection or maturity, we will not need change either. But for now, that is how we mature, by change. To keep an open mind until you think like God is the ultimate maturation.

“Buy the truth and do not sell it. Also wisdom and instruction and understanding“  ~ Proverbs 23:23

“And yet a time is coming and now is that the Father will seek such that will worship Him in spirit and in truth; for they are the kind of worshipers that the Father seeks“ ~ John 4:23

"The Kingdom of heaven is like one seeking for choice pearls. And when he found one of great value, he went and sold all he had  and bought it“ ~ Matthew 13:46

God is looking for those sons and daughters that will seek Him with all of their heart and seek the truth with all of their heart. Those that do not except the old ways or what they are told or hear only, but they dig deep for truth and look to Him to find it.

In this day of information via technology, there is no excuse not to know the truth. There was a time that God overlooked all of these things, but now he commands for all mankind, everywhere to repent.

Do not lean to your own understanding, but acknowledge Him in all of your ways and he will guide and direct your path straight ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

If you choose your comfort, your tradition or what you naturally know, just realize that there could be devils lurking and luring you astray in order that you never realize the truth. You are just whom the devil seeks to deceive and keep in the dark. Deception carries with it the weight of not knowing. The delusion is, it is an illusion and it feels like the truth to you.

“Let God be true and everyman a liar“ as it is written. If you seek God with all of your heart, He will be found of you. Don’t give up, His truth is present. Though it be buried under all that you have thought you have known.

God has made it very clear, he does not think like the humanity that He has made. To know God, we must think like Him. That requires every effort to pursue him. And that proves who is who.  Whether we belong to Him truly or we are just a playing the part of a big religious game, that He has not been playing all along. There is a spirit there. It is just not the Spirit of the Living God.

If your heart is pure towards God, it can stand the test of what you think, of what you think you know. Either the truth of God in it’s pure and rare form. Or it’s devil disguised like god. One that thinks like you.

There is good news though, if you are sincere and your heart is pure to know the truth, God will either affirm you or deliver you. He is a God of Justice and of Mercy. Of Grace and of Judgment. He would not be truly God without absolute power to be All.
